Al-Fattah is the Opener of every door that appears sealed — not just literal doors, but the closed doors of mercy, provision, opportunity, guidance, and victory that every human heart eventually encounters. The root f-t-h (فتح) is the same root as 'Fatihah' — the Opening — suggesting that seeking Al-Fattah is like invoking the very spirit of that first surah. The scholars note that Al-Fattah also opens hearts: He is the One who opens the closed heart to faith, the hardened heart to repentance, the grieving heart to hope. When every path you can see is blocked and every door you knock on remains closed, you have not yet knocked on the door of Al-Fattah — and that door is never locked.
