Privacy Policy

moodverse is a personal project. We take your privacy seriously and collect only what is necessary to provide the service.
What we collect
When you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your chosen provider. We store these to identify your account.
If you use mood logging, we store the mood types and timestamps you record, linked to your account. Saved verses are stored similarly. Anonymous mood shares include a country code derived from your IP address — no IP address is stored.
What we do not collect
We do not collect payment information, device identifiers, or browsing history outside of moodverse. We do not use advertising trackers. Google Analytics is used only in aggregate, anonymised form to understand general usage patterns.
How your data is used
Your data is used solely to provide moodverse features: mood history, streak tracking, saved verses, and personalised insights. We do not sell, share, or rent your data to any third party.
Data retention & deletion
Your data is kept as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Deactivate account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
Third-party services
Sign-in is handled by Google and Microsoft OAuth — their respective privacy policies apply to that flow. Prayer times are fetched from the AlAdhan API and location is resolved via OpenStreetMap Nominatim. Quran text and audio are sourced from Al-Quran Cloud.
