Al-Mu'id is the Restorer — the One who returns and brings back, particularly in the sense of the Resurrection: He who originated creation from nothing will return it after death with even greater ease. The name is a foundational answer to the question 'How can God restore what has been completely destroyed?' — the Quran responds by pointing to the greater miracle already accomplished: He who created from nothing, for whom restoration is even simpler. Al-Mu'id also speaks to the restoration of states: the return of faith after doubt, the return of peace after tumult, the return of hope after despair. What Allah has given, He can restore — and what He has built, He is perfectly capable of rebuilding.
