Al-Ghani is the Self-Sufficient and Absolutely Rich — completely free of any need, dependency, or reliance on anything in creation. Every created thing, including the greatest prophets and the nearest angels, needs Al-Ghani in every moment for their continued existence — but Al-Ghani needs none of them for anything. The Quran states starkly: 'O people, you are the ones in need of Allah, while Allah is the Self-Sufficient, the Praiseworthy.' This is not meant to diminish the believer — it is an invitation to place your dependence where it actually belongs. Al-Ghani's freedom from need is also what guarantees that His gifts to you are pure: He gives not because He needs your gratitude, not because He needs your worship, but simply because giving is His nature.
