As-Salam is the source of all peace — not merely the One who gives peace, but the One who IS peace in His very essence. The name carries the meaning of being free from every deficiency and every threat, a perfect wholeness that no created thing can possess by itself. Every greeting of 'Assalamu Alaikum' is literally a supplication: may the peace that belongs to Allah be upon you. When the people of Jannah enter Paradise, their greeting will be 'Salam' — a peace that finally, completely matches its divine source. In times of inner chaos and anxiety, turning to As-Salam is not a metaphor: it is reaching directly for the only Being in whom peace is not circumstantial but essential.
